Sneak Peek - Preview Our New Website Now!

The countdown is on to the full launch of our new website in early July. But we wanted to give our members an opportunity to preview the new site early and get a feel for the look and navigation.

Our goal with this new website is to deliver a more modern and smoother-flowing user experience, intuitive architecture and high-impact visual design. Also, to provide visitors with a simple way to discover more about our credit union and the solutions we offer.

AGM & Directors’ Election Update

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - Monday, June 29, 2020 at 4:00pm

Due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements this year’s Annual General Meeting will be held virtually online. To register to attend the virtual AGM please contact Sandy Laidman via email at slaidman@sdcu.com or call her direct line at 250-494-6052.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ ELECTION - All completed ballots must be received in the credit union office by 4:00pm on June 26, 2020.

Voting for this year‘s Directors’ Election will take place at Summerland Credit Union the week of June 22-26 during branch hours with the deadline for completed ballots to be received by Friday, June 26, 2020 at 4:00pm.

Members can vote in-branch, by mail or online. The Member Bulletin with complete voting instructions has been mailed in advance to all members. Please contact Sandy Laidman via email at slaidman@sdcu.com or call her direct line at 250-494-6052 to register for online voting.

Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) – NOW AVAILABLE!

The new Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) will provide loans of up to $40,000 to small businesses and not-for-profits to help cover their operating costs during a period where their revenues have been temporarily reduced. To qualify, organizations will need to demonstrate that they meet the criteria of having paid between $20,000 to $1.5 million in total payroll in 2019.

Eligible SDCU business members can now apply for the CEBA loan program through our Business Online Banking platform. The link to the application can be found under Account Services in the left-hand menu once you are logged in.

Once you have completed and submitted your application / attestation, you will receive an email from SDCU via DocuSign which will include a loan application that will also need to be completed. See full CEBA application instructions here.

If you do not want to access the CEBA program through Business Online Banking, we are working on a manual process for the program which should be ready to launch in mid-May.


New CRA Direct Deposit – NOW AVAILABLE!

During this challenging time we’re here to help you get Government funding in your account faster.

Through Online Banking (desktop only), you can set up or modify your CRA direct deposit instructions, so you get your government benefit payments faster. This includes the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB), income tax refunds, GST/HST credits and more. Note, this feature is not available through the Mobile Banking App or Mobile Web.
